Banking & Investments
The two banks, their real loan terms, and every investment fund - read straight from the game, with the maths the game actually uses.
A loan is repaid in equal daily instalments. The daily principal is the amount divided by the payback days (minimum $5/day), and interest - the bank rate times the Bank Interest Multiplier - is charged on top each day. You can lower the daily principal payment to half of the standard amount, still no less than $5.
An investment fund changes in value every day: its current value times that year's market change, divided by the days in a year, and rolled by a random +-10%. Each fund cycles through a fixed list of yearly changes, so its spread is what sets its risk band.
The loan figures assume the standard 60-day year and a 1.0x Bank Interest Multiplier; both can differ in a custom game.
